In memory of Rick Trail

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we mark the passing of a dedicated former BFSC Executive Board Member and proud skating father, Rick Trail.   Rick left this earth on Tuesday August 28th after a valiant battle with cancer.

Rick spent many years in service to BFSC, selflessly volunteering well beyond the scope of his role, and was always ready at the boards with words of encouragement for every skater.   He was a truly invaluable member of our club, his dedication, enthusiasm, positive outlook and energy were blessings for all who worked with him.

Rick was never more happy than when both he and his loving wife Wendy were able to sit in the stands to watch their daughter, BFSC alumni skater Amber Trail, on the ice.

Rick was a wonderful husband and father, but he was also a truly wonderful man.

Our thoughts and prayers are with both Wendy and Amber during this heartbreaking time, as well as with Rick’s loving sons Jason, Shawn and the entire Trail family.

Rest easy dear friend.
