The Bowmanville Figure Skating Club would like to extend our congratulations to all the skaters that competed at the 2013 Keswick Invitational Skate hosted by the Keswick Figure Skating Club on November 15-17, 2013.
Click on the more link below to see the results. We have done our best to put together a complete list. If your name does not appear on the list or if you have any photographs that you would like to submit to be posted below please email them to email@example.com.
Congratulations to everyone that competed! You have all done an awesome job representing the Bowmanville Figure Skating Club!
Bowmanville Figure Skating Club would like to welcome back our past skaters and extend a warm welcome to our new skaters.
We have a wonderful season in store with some exciting changes to the CanSkate program. The changes are all coming from Skate Canada and all of our coaches and program assistants have all undergone or will be completing training to be familiar with the new program. You can check out all of the Skate Canada bulletins, which come out every two weeks, on our web site to keep track of what is going on.
Pay attention to the website or our Facebook page for important announcements throughout the year. We also have an email monthly update which comes out toward the end of the month to remind people about the skating schedule or any important dates for the upcoming month. If you are not subscribed you can subscribe yourself by filling out the form on the website.
Members are welcome to use the classifieds section of the website to look for or sell various items. Most skating families have dresses or skates that no longer fit so if you are looking to clean out the closet or need something for an upcoming competition, give us a try. After all it is free and only takes a couple of minutes to do.
If you have any photos that you would like to contribute to the photo gallery send them to firstname.lastname@example.org to get them up so others can see all the fun that our amazing kids have.
If you have any questions or concerns all of the executive emails are listed on the executive page of the web site. The majority of them have the emails tied directly to their portable devices so it is the quickest and best way to get hold of anyone.
We hope everyone enjoys the 2013-2014 skating season!
There will be a $60. per family chocolate fundraising fee due at time of registration.
These chocolates can then be sold to neighbours, family and friends to recoup the cost.
As a non-profit organization fundraising is a critical part of the ongoing success of our club. We are planning various fundraisers throughout the season and participation is greatly appreciated and because registration fees alone do NOT completely cover the overall cost of operating the club, we rely heavily on fundraising. Fundraising helps cover the cost of a variety of skating club activities, including ice rental fees, professional coaching, skater badges, CanSkate teaching aids, skater development and office supplies. Thanks
