BFSC Spring 2024 (May 13th to June 26th)

Spring programming will run from May 13-June 26. All skating will take place at South Courtice Arena on Pad B.  Please note, there is no skating on May 16, May 20th or June 27. 

Starskaters must meet the requirements to skate on their session. Please read the NEW SPRING requirements for Starskate below. As always, please communicate with your skater’s coach to determine levels if you are unsure.

**NEW** SPRING STARSKATE REQUIREMENTS 

  • Junior – MUST have Passed Stage 4 and have been invited
  • Intermediate A–All three Star 1 Assessments – Freeskate Elements, Dance Elements and Skills and have a private coach
  • Intermediate B – All Star 2 tests PLUS 2 of the following: Star 3 Skills, Star 3 Dance (Baby Blues and Star 3 Dance Elements) and or Star 3 Freeskate (Elements & Program) and have a private coach
  • Senior – All Star 3 tests, plus two Star 4 tests & must have a private coach

CANSKATE 

  • 50 min program for those 3 years of age and up
  • A learn to skate program for skaters that have some experiences or NO prior skating experience 
  • A dynamic program that focuses on fun and basic skill development
  • Skaters of different skill levels and ages may skate on the same Canskate session

BFSC Spring Pricing

Canskate:

Mondays (6 sessions) – Current skaters: $138 (Program Fee only)  New skaters: $197 ($138 Program Fee + $59 Skate Canada Fee)
Wednesdays (7 sessions) – Current skaters: $161 (Program Fee only)  New skaters: $220 ($161 Program Fee +$59 Skate Canada Fee)

Starskate:

Mondays: $138 (6 sessions)
Wednesdays: $161 (7 sessions)
Thursdays: $115 (5 sessions)

All winter Canskate programs are now full. Please add your name to one of our waitlists. If an opening

becomes available, our online system will automatically contact you by email.

BFSC Summer Skating (July 12-August 18)

 

Summer Skating–6 Weeks

(July 12-August 18)

SUMMER  REGISTRATION will open JUNE 4th.

BFSC is proud to announce the schedule and fees for the 2022 Summer Season. Summer programming will run for 6 sessions from July 12th-Aug. 18th. All skating will take place at South Courtice Arena.  

**Please note, we require minimum numbers to run each session. You will be contacted if our numbers fall below the required number of participants or if we need to make changes to the schedule.

Canskate Costs: $120 program fee + $44 Canskate fee (new 2021-2022 Canskate participants)

Junior/Intermediate Starskate Costs:  $120 fee for 1 day/week, $240 for 2 days/week, $360 for 3 days/week 

Requests for withdrawal from any program must be received in writing by Registration@bfsc.net within two weeks of the start of the session. Only remaining sessions will be refunded. The Skate Canada Membership fee is nonrefundable.

Bowmanville Figure Skating Club Merchandise now available online for Sale

Hats and t-shirts are IN-STOCK and available in most sizes.

BFSC jackets and sweatshirts must be custom ordered, as we currently do not have any IN-stock. Please note that you must place your order by Friday, December 7thin order to have your merchandise arrive before Christmas.
